Why can't I add any more pages to my site?
I am unable to add sub-pages to my website when previously it was easy. When I try I am taken to the page I am trying to add the sub-page to and no longer in edit mode. A support request to the Theme developer for Supermint 2 has had no response.
I contacted my domain host (Siteground) who could find no obvious problem from their perspective and they directed me back to support from Conc5 and/or Theme developers.
I also have another website using exactly the same package combination but with no problems.
Any suggestions on how to add a sub-page gratefully received.
Thanks
Roger

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
I've tried adding a sub-page via the Sitemap in Dashboard by clicking on the page I want to add the sub-page to and then choosing Add page from the drop-down menu that appears. I've also tried by visiting the page I'm wanting to add under and then going to the Edit button at the top of the screen that gives you an option to add a sub-page there.
In both cases I get the screen that gives me the option to choose what type of page I want (eg left side-bar). I choose and it then takes me to the Add Left Sidebar screen where I name the page which generates the URL Slug and gives you the option to add a description etc. I name the page and URL Slug and then click on "Add Page" button and then it doesn't add the page but instead takes me back to the website to the page I'm trying to add beneath but no longer in edit mode. I then have to back page to get back to edit mode and no sub-page has been added. I hadn't tried adding below the Home page but just tried and the same thing happens.
According to Siteground I have plenty of disc space etc and no reason they can see. The website I'm having problems with is stationed on a different server to the one that works OK. I asked Siteground if this would make a difference but they haven't come back with that as a possible reason.
I haven't added any functionality other than updates to Conc 5.6 and maybe some of te add-ons since I was able to develop the site with no problems. I had the same problem back in October but Seb who developed the theme somehow managed to add a sub-page and I assumed that the problem was sorted and just populated the page I needed ... until I tried recently to add another one. I've asked for help again from Seb but I don't get any reply. Maybe he's no longer offering support for Supermint 2 now he's developed Supermint 3 for Conc 5.7.
I may redevelop the site using 5.7 in future but I wasn't planning on doing it quite yet. I'd just like to be able to add more sub-pages in the meantime!
I had developed a Membership area to my website with a number of pages but it didn't take off so they're currently sitting there unpublished. If I rename them and drag the pages elsewhere to use as sub-pages will that cause a problem with my sitemap and page names etc?
Thanks for your help.
Best wishes
Roger

@RogerM
I am afraid I don't have any experience with version 5.6, so hopefully someone else can assist with this.

The theme developer Seb logged into your site and was able to add a page?

Which method are you using to add pages?
Can you include more specific details regarding what happens when you try adding a page.
Does this only happen with subpages? Can you create pages one level below the "Home" page?

From the time that you could add sub-pages to now, what changes were made to your site? Did you install any add-ons or themes, modify code, change settings, etc.?
The other website that you have, is it on the same server?
