Why the edit bar is missing (logged out)

in the tutorial at point 11 you have to add '/index.php/login' to your URL instead only '/login' or else you get a 404 Error.
Logging in for the fist time your username is 'admin' and NOT the email adress you entered installing c5.
This information seems to be obvious to professionals but it took me quiet some time to figure it out.
