wordpress plug-in for C5

OK, time for a kraazzyyyy Christmas time question ;)

I've got a WP plug-in, I'd love to use on my C5 site. I know there's the option of WP for C5 in the marketplace. Are there also other options to make it work - could I get a freelance coder to do anything - can a WP plugin become a C5 addon - is that just crazy?

I've simply not done this before, so thought I'd ask.

Thanks, Regards and Compliments of the Season to All.

There is no direct way to use a WP plugin with c5, but a developer could probably port it depending on the complexity of the plugin.

What is the plugin you are trying to use on your c5 site, maybe an equivalent exist already?

what version of c5 are you running?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm running 5.6
It a tool called Super Blogger Pro [V5] - it can be used with WP and Blogger. I was wondering if I could hire someone to "bridge" it between WP and C5.

Could I, simply buy the C5 WP plug-in? It's just on the SAME site, I'm also going to run Pro-Blog, so I'd only need the WP factor to run the Super Blogger tool?

Any more thoughts appreciated, please? Thank you.

Hum, 5.6 would be the problem in this case, I believe most devs will target 5.7 for the future as 5.6 is the legacy version (even though so far 5.7 is not as complete/stable as 5.6, it should soon become).

Bridging multiple CMS had been done I reckon, but that is no easy task. Bridging the two APIs is next to impossible (and would require a LOT of work to be even slightly usable), not sure this would happen even in a far future.

The easiest way is to create new addons that have features you are looking for :)

Although your question has already been answered, I'd just add that it's not a crazy question. I've seen A LOT of WP Plugins I'd like to see available here. In general, it seems to me themes and plugins in the WP ecosystem are somewhat more feature rich. Perhaps it's due to the greater competition? Or maybe it's the possibility of a greater ROI due to the size of the market? Whatever it is, it's not hard for me to look there and find plugins or themes I wish were here. As a result, I'm considering developing some.

Thank you for your reply - yeah a shout out to the C5 chiefs - great CMS, but greater functionality with WP plugins would be very, VERY nice!

Hint to anyone out there - if you can build an affordable add-on, that will allow C5 and WP plugins to work together - more than one person appears keen to buy it! :)
