I've tried a search of the forum but wasn't able to pinpoint anything similar to my query.

I have been using Google Tag manager to track file downloads and wanted to find a more consistent way to do this. My initial idea is to get the WYSIWYG editor to always output a files Title attribute from the file manager whenever a link is inserted into a content block or any other block that uses the editor interface.

Example of basic file link added through WYSIWYG editor:
<a href="https://example-domain.com/download_file/view/109/301" target="_blank">File link download</a>

Ideal link structure when outputted:
<a href="https://example-domain.com/download_file/view/109/301" title="[title attribute from file manager" target="_blank">File link download</a>

Before I get started I wanted to know if anyone else has tried this and if there are any potential pitfalls to this. I'm aware the WYSIWYG editor is tied into a lot of systems, so I am keen to not mess too much it if possible!
