Youtube Video, Quickie Player blocks won't show video

Hi all,
I am trying to use Youtube Video to embed a video on my website, however the video won't show. I tried all kinds of youtube links, like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wThtfAtB5U8...
http://youtu.be/wThtfAtB5U8
When I select the iframe option, the space where the video should be is reserved but it is empty, with the flash option nothing appears at all. When I investigate the frame object on my browser, it seams like <head> and <body> are empty.
I also tried Quickie Player, it behaves the same.
When I use an html block and add an iframe, everything works fine.
I am using theme slate and running v. 5.6.2.1
Any hints?
