yes you should be fine, as i don not believe there were any db changes between that and 5.4.0.5, but make a backup anyway
No go. I updated the site with the new files (copied the new concrete folder contents to mine) and 5.4.0.3 is what the site reports after running the upgrade script.
copy the /concrete folder from the zip, override the /concrete override all files, then run the upgrade script
Yes that is what the instructions say here;http://www.concrete5.org/help/building_with_concrete5/updates/news/... and exactly what I did.
I did a random check of the files in the concrete folder on my server and the date on them is 10/11 exactly the same as the date on the files in the concrete folder on my local computer that I copied them from.
