5.5.2 Moving to Root Directory

So I created a new directory to install a fresh C5 database and installation to fix some issues that I could not seem to find an answer to on my main installation. Now that the site is ready and is working as it should, I decided I was ready to move it last night to the root directory so here is what I did.

First, I usedhttp://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/developers/how-to-mo... as a guide on moving from one directory to another.

1. I copied all the files from the "new" directory.
2. I deleted all the files from the root directory.
3. I copied the "new" files into the root directory.

When I got up this morning to check it, It will show me the website, although not the theme I bought saying it doesn't have a default.php page, but it does. If you try to log in on the root page, it just takes you to the dashboard and has something about composer but there is no real dashboard...can't make any changes.

I can still go to the "new" directory and login and make any edits I need to, such as changing the theme to a core theme, so that now the root directory site works.

I currently have the "new" directory deleting to see if it is somehow acting as a placeholder or something.

If there is anything you see that I am missing, PLEASE help me figure out why the page isn't working!
