5.8.0.0.b2 install error

Hi,
Tried to update 8.0.0.a3 to 8.0.0.b2 which failed.
I started over with a clean, new 8.0.0.b2 install. This install also fails with (the same) error:

Betas/alphas have no valid update path (most of the time at least). You're better off deleting the whole install and install it again - fresh install.
Well, the message also says that I've tried a clean install ;-)

Ah, my bad.
Did you actually download it from the site or from GitHub? Because I had some issues with the GitHub version, but not with the version from this site.

I used the site download.
I've just started getting this error on a site upgraded to 5.8.1 did you ever resolve this?
I've installed a newly 8.1 and that one works fine for me. Sorry!
