Hi, I'm new to this and I have two problems.

1) I have installed concrete through mampstack on my computer and I was able to access it a couple of months ago. No love now - it comes up with the line in the subject heading and that it is "Unable to connect to database".

The directory path goes as follows:
Applications>mampstack-1.2-5>apache2>htdocs>concrete

The URL is:
http://127.0.0.1:8080/concrete/...

And the apache is turned on in the terminal. Any ideas?

2) A similar issue - I transferred a site to it's live URL last night and it was all working fine. Full permissions were given to config, files and packages folders.

Today it comes up with the same concrete screen as mentioned in the subject title.

I tried to check the database through phpmyadmin and when I tried to log in it came back with:

2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured).

Does this just mean that the server is down?
