Addons won't install through dashboard or manually

I get the zip error when trying to install through the dashboard. So, I've downloaded and unzipped/unpacked and uploaded to the packages directory to no avail either. I have some screenshots that I will try and attach as well as a .txt version of archive.php

Hi,

Silly question but have you created an account with mailchimp?
On the addon page (http://www.concrete5.org/marketplace/addons/mailchimp/... ) it says "To use this addon, you need to create an account with Mailchimp at http://www.mailchimp.com . "

Im not familiar with the filezilla interface but you should be uploading these to the site_root > packages and not site_root > concrete > packages.

tallacman... very logical response. Thank you. It appears that I do not have a packages directory in the root. Is this something I can and/or should create in its absence?

Looks like your at network solutions?
Did you install this site manually or thru an automated system?
Go ahead an create the packages folder in the root and put your packages in it. That may have been the problem with the remote install. If the folder wasn’t there the packages couldn’t install.

Yes, I am with network solutions and I used Simple Scripts for the install because it was taking too long to upload the files manually. I'll give it a shot. Much appreciated!
