after fresh installstatistics chart is missing in dashboard

Hi,
I am totally new to concrete so I have no clue waht to do now. After a clean install of concrete5 onto my v-server the dashboard does not show the statisctics chart it just gives me following error:
/index.php/tools/required/dashboard/chart_handler.php
The tools folder in my concrete install owned by the apache so reading and execution of files should work.
Can anybody give me a hint?
