Auto and Manual install of addon's or themes does not work.

I'm running the current release of C5, and it's installed on a site using CPanel. I have tried installing both themes and add-on's but they both give the unable to install error.

I have tried to install packages manually by unzipping them and uploading the folder (ie: theme_halloween) into the packages folder, and it still does not show up for installation. (it shows as 'download' still in the new section)

I don't think zip is enabled on the cpanel and I'm trying to get that changed, however, I don't know why even manually installing items does not work.

Sometimes when you unzip, you'll end up with a folder called theme_halloween with the real package folder (also called theme_halloween) inside it. You might want to double-check that the "theme_halloween" folder you put in the packages directory has the right contents (i.e. icon.png, controller.php) and not a sub-folder.

If that's not the problem, maybe you could post the string from your Dashboard > Sitewide Settings > Debug > Environment
