Automatic install of them on dev & prod

Hi, All,

I have purchased a theme (Minified) to use for a c5 site; the license states that it is purchased for one site and its development environment, which I read as the production server and the c5 that runs on my dev box... but when I do an automatic install on one, the theme is bound to that site and I cannot install it on the other; am I missing something? is the only way to do it to release it from the current site, then do a download and manual installation on both the prod site and dev box?

Many thanks in advance,

ovig

You can release the license from your dev site by going to "My Account" -> Projects

http://www.concrete5.org/profile/projects/...

Select your project and then on the theme select "Release from Licence"

then you can re-assign it to your live site

Thanks for the Reply, Sean.

I had identified the Release/Re-assign as a solution, but it looks a bit tedious, as I'd like to have the Theme both on my dev'box and the production server at the same time (at least for the next few weeks when the site is being developped, and the prod' server is in effect a staging server) - I believe that this is possible with a single-site license for the theme, but cannot see a way of achieving it automagically = only to release the current license, download the zip and upload/install manually on both location; am I missing something?

I am on the understanding that even once released a block/theme will still work on your dev machine.

Its not an ideal solution I know and Andrew has mentioned it in a Totaly Random episode on uStream a couple of weeks ago. But I dont think they plan on doing anything else yet with regards to the licensing
