Blank pages after upgrade to 5.6.3.1

I just did an upgrade from the dashboard to 5.6.3.1 and now have blank pages at:http://www.floatingcrowbar.com. I've looked through the forum and tried to follow the advice there, but I'm way out of my league. I thought I had done everything correctly, but clearly not.
In the site database, the config table showed 5.5.2 for SITE_APP_VERSION and APP_VERSION_LATEST, so I changed these to 5.6.3.1. still no joy.
If anyone can help, I'd be very grateful.
If I have to rebuild the site, is there a faster way to do this than recreating every page, blog entry, etc.? (I did say I was way out of my league!)
