Blank screen after installation

Hi. I am installing Concrete 5 on a brand new CentOS6 server (all updates made). I unzipped the program and changed ownership on the three directories where this must be done. Then I accessed the Concrete 5 root directory... and nothing: blank page.

I added a phpinfo() page at the same location and it displays the normal php information.

What gives? Where should I go from here?

Sounds like a Server 500 error.
Do you have access to your php error logs? If so, tail the log and see what error pops up when you hit the site. Post the error here and I'll see what I can do...

Most bizarre: I was poking around looking for the php error log and I became able to access the installer panel. Thus, everything is OK now. Thanks for your speedy response.
