C5 With Personal Templates (dwt files)

BACKGROUND:
I have created template files (.dwt files) for individual sections of my site i.e.:

Homepage, main blog section, blog post etc.

I intend to place these at the extensions:

www.www.mydomain.com/index.html...
http://www.mydomain.com/blog.html
etc.

QUESTION:
1. Is it possible to use my own .dwt templates in C5?
- Where do I upload .dwt's
- Where do I upload my index.html file to replace the example homepage?

NOTE:
I aim to have users create new blog posts in c5 by pasting text into to a selected div.

Thanks for your time in advance!

You can't use them in the way you suggest.

The good news is your dwt files should be good candidates for conversion to a C5 theme. All your editable regions will need some simple code adding, which turns them into "areas" to which you can add blocks (editable bits) in C5.

Hope that helps.

Cheers ollie, guess I'll be converting them into .php files instead.

Followed up and found this tut which I probably should've seen earlier -http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/make-a-theme/...
