Cache write errors, images not appearing and many more

Hi there

I just uploaded a c5 system that I developed locally on WAMP. I renamed all the db tables to support both upper- and lowercase. I also changed permissions to files(recursively) to 777.

When I try to log in I still get this error...
mysql error: [-32000: Cache write error] in CacheExecute(/home/alansnailum/www.alansnailum.co.za/site/as/files/cache/e3/adodb_e330d232eb0816ae2ab3a4b94fec6ae1.cache, select ctID from PageTypes)

This happns on the login screen, but if I return to the website - it will happen for the entire site...until I clear my browser cache.

As far as I know the c5 cache was disabled and cleared before I uploaded.

Also thumbnails for my gallery (asmiller fancybox mod) are not appearing. The image src's are blank.

And my contact form doesn't seem to work either.

All these things work on my WAMP localhost.

I would really appreciate any advice.
You can view the site here:

Thanks in advance

Dyrk

I have just hit the same issue as this, I have even applyed the permission of 'Everyone' to have 'Full Control' on the 'Files' directory but still displaying the same error....then if I return back to the website it shows a error 500 :-/

HELP would be nice on this issue from one of the core team, HINT HINT!!

Thanks,
Chris

Well, the core team are most likely in bed at the moment ;->

However, I am setting up a dedicated UK support desk for Concrete 5, so I'll see if I can help :)

Without logging in to your server and checking error logs, my first suggestion would be to manually clear your cache on the server. So actually go into the cache folders and delete everything in there. I don't trust the dashboard button to always do what it says it's doing!

Also, you're getting a 500 error right? This is usually related to your .htaccess file. Could you post the contents? This could also (possibly) cause you're cache write problem...

I have sorted mine ;)
Just moved all the cache files from the files/cache folder into another folder (Like they have been deleted) and it works now!!!!

THANKS!

If the account has a disk quota and it is over that, this will also cause the write error.
