Can't Add/Edit Content Block

I just installed Concrete5 5.4.2.1 to start over from scratch. Whenever I try to create a content block or edit an existing content block the wysiwyg editor disappears. I see a textarea full of HTML for a second and then it will vanish.

At first I thought maybe something didn't upload correctly so I re-uploaded the entire CMS twice and re-installed he database just to make sure. Then I thought it was a browser or theme issue and it seems to happen no matter which browser or theme I use.

Any ideas?

Can you use some sort of control panel with your hosting company?

Did you zip concrete as one big zip or did you split it up?

Did you load it into your root folder?

Another way!!

Clear everything out: files, folders and database.

Then create a new database and create a new folder called 'holder' at root level, then upload and unzip C5 into that.

Then inside 'holder' find concrete5.4.2.1 folder , then inside that folder drag all folders and files, (25) I think, into your root/public_html folder.

Then dial in address and you should be good to to go!

Good luck, let me know if you need more help

I'm seeing the same issue here. C5 5.4.1.1 / FF11. Updated to latest version of TinyMCE.

This only occurs when a content block as already been edited and closed once. Attempting to edit the block again will briefly flash the content in the editor, then it will disappear.

Can i update to the most current content block from the repo, or do i need to stay in version 5.4.x to maintain compatibility?
