can't find the site.php file
Permalink
I set up a site last night and it works, but I redirected the domain name to the new directory and itisn't loading the Concrete5 site. I looked for the site.php file where it was for other sites I've done, but it appears to be missing/non-existant. In the latest version of Concrete5 has this file been replaced?

It has not been replaced, it should be in /config/site.php
And it gets generated after you initialize the site I gather. It isn't in the files I uncompressed from concrete5. Is it safe to create one based on another site's file?
Not sure what to do about Password Salt, though.
It is generated at the time of install, you can take another one, but unless you have the salt from the old site.php you will have to reset all the passwords.
(if you do take the site.php from another site, change the salt)
