Can't get past admin screen

Can anyone help... my site has been working fine then all of a sudden I can't get past the edit screen.
I can login, edit, visit dashboard but just not view the site as a user.

is maintenance mode on?

dashboard->sitewide settings->debug i believe

As it turns out another user had set the site to 'admin access only'. thanks for the response
