cannot parse PATH_INFO

I'm hosting this site at Godaddy (not the free hosting), and cant seem to get past the install screen. I'm trying to install 5.3.3.1, and get the dreaded 'Cannot parse PATH_INFO or ORIGINAL_PATH_INFO' error. heres a link to the pathinfo() page.http://www.windowsolutionsmn.com/info.php...

** UPDATE: I cancelled my hosting with GoDaddy, and moved it to someplace that supports C5. Got it installed and loaded in about an hour.**

I tried adding a .htaccess page with 'AcceptPathInfo On' but that results in a 500 Internal Server Error.

I also tried messing around with the php.ini file, but when I change settings in it, I dont see them reflected in the output from info.php.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

your server isn't properly set up..

This url must work:

http://www.windowsolutionsmn.com/info.php/test...

Thanks Remo. I sent a support ticket in to GoDaddy, but other than saying path_info doesnt seem set up right, and I get errors trying to hit a url like:www.www.windowsolutionsmn.com/info.php/bla...

Is there anything else either I should be telling them or do?

I hope not..

a server admin should know about the info.php/pathInfo stuff.

wonderful. Thank you. I obviously havent done much with appache, other than some fairly minor playing around with it to run/test c5 locally.

Could you suggest a decent book or site to learn more? I'm looking for kinda a quick start guide that provides a good overview and allows me to dig into the topics that interest me. The appache documentation doesnt seem to have that 'overview' and jumps right to the nitty gritty.

no sorry, I've never read book about apache...

I just started by looking into the config files and used google if I wanted to know something about a specific issue.

I'm probably not the best person to ask for a book recommondation.
