can't access dashboard with admin

Hi,

I upgraded to 5.5, played around a bit and then restored 5.4 .2 after having some trouble with a theme. Now, I can login, but can't reach the dashboard. It presents me with another login screen, asking for my email address. I may have selected a setting allowing users to use email addresses as logins.

Does anyone know how I can restore my admin functions??

It says invalid email address or password.

Your database says its 5.5.1 while the files say they are 5.4.2.2. Please
reupload the concrete directory.

Well, that was weird. Went out for an hour and now the problem's cleared. I can log in and go straight to the dashboard without a login screen. Could it be that the database needed to reindex??
