Can't check for updates to Concrete5

Hey, everyone!
Having a little problem here. I can't seem to check for updates to Concrete5. Whenever I check, I get a white page with this error:

5.5.2.1
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/godsking/public_html/gods-kingdom-ministries.net/updates/concrete5.5.2.1/concrete/controllers/dashboard/system/backup_restore/update.php:57) in /home/godsking/public_html/gods-kingdom-ministries.net/updates/concrete5.5.2.1/concrete/libraries/controller.php on line 356

Don't know what this means, and I'm not sure why it's happening.
We have Concrete5 version 5.5.2.1 and we are wanting to update to 5.6
Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

This is a matter we would like to have resolved as soon as possible.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi dsw

Don't worry - most people are getting this it seems... I know that I am on my 3-4 sites.

I'm not sure if this will resolve when 5.6.0 is put onto the auto updater, but you can always manually upgrade.

Hope this helps. Be sure to mark it as an answer if it does.

Thanks

Job.

Very good to know. Thought it was just a glitch on our end.
Thank you. We will manually update. :)

Just fyi I wouldn't manually update a production site to 5.6 unless you really know what you are doing.

I did it on a test site and it is crashed see the message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /DataDisk/Disk01/shares/cms5/updates/concrete5.6.0/concrete/helpers/concrete/dashboard.php on line 162

I did report it in the forum but no response.

By manually updating, do you mean replacing the current Concrete core with the updated one? Because that's not what we're doing.
We're following method 1 described on this page:http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/developers/manually-...
This method basically emulates what Concrete5 would do if I were able to check for updates.

I followed the same method 1 described on that page. I think the problem has to do with the addons that you may have installed. The problem which one hard to tell.
