Change C5 installation directories on a server
Permalink
NOTE: This is not a question about moving a C5 install to another server. This is about moving a C5 install up one level in the path.
Details: When I first installed C5, I had the impression it had to be extracted within a subdir to public_html. This would result a path like "public_html/projectname/concrete5.7.5.5/".
However, when I try to enable pretty urls and it always fails.
So I extracted C5 directly under public_html resulting in this path: public_html/concrete5.7.5.5/
I then renamed the C5 dir so the path became public_html/projectname/
Then I continued with the installation which completed successfully.
Finally I enabled pretty urls and it worked as expected.
Unfortunately I currently have three installations with the first path; ie, public_html/projectname/concrete5.7.5.5/.
So how do I move the C5 installations up one level?
Or how do I adjust the "pretty urls" config to work with the first path; ie, public_html/projectname/concrete5.7.5.5/.
Thank you.
