I am new to Concrete5 and I have been kinda struggling trying to set it up on my server.. I have followed as best I can the video tutorials and I cant find the place to change the CHMOD to 755.

I am using a mac and I have located the file htmldiff.py in my finder, I have gone into get info.. but I cannot see where I make that change..attached a screenshot to show where I am in finder

Any help or assistance would be very much appreciated..

I am not very experienced in this sort of activity.. steep learning curve..

Paul

Hi,

You don't Chmod on your Mac, you do it on your server.

Go to /concrete/libraries/3rdparty/htmldiff.py in your server file manager and change from 644 to 755.

hope that makes sense

Thank you for your help..

I have managed to sort this problem out and installed C5.. now I am having a problem connecting to the community as I want to add some themes etc, however when I try to connect to the community I get a message that says I don't have permissions to connect..?

Any idea what could be causing this issue

Hi,

See attachment, you connect to the community, you don't actually come here.

Also you will see the links to add stuff through the dashboard.

Hope that helped.

I discovered I have problems logging in to the community with Firefox..!

I have had a successful log in with Safari.. now I have to start to learn how to build my site..
