Connecting a rebuilt site creates a DUPLICATE project entry -- cannot use AddOns

I am rebuilding from scratch our current 5.4.2.2http://www.kristinit.com site to 5.6.1.2 because upgrading is becoming seriously problematic.

So I installed 5.6.1.2 inhttp://new.kristinit.com yet when I CONNECT TO COMMUNITY, it creates a DUPLICATE entry under my Project Page, so now I have 2 "kristinit" projects, one with all my purchased add-ons (eCommerce, etc.) and the other empty and associated with new.kristinit.com.

How can I get new.kristinit.com associated with the correct "kristinit" project? It's the same domain, just different sub-domain... thank you in advance,
Gary

you need to go into my account > projects > click on the old project you want to remove > click edit project > scroll to the bottom of the page and click delete project

Then all your add-ons will be released for inclusion in your new site!!;)

Your suggestion won't work because our "old" current site is LIVE and taking orders -- I will not take it down while I spend weeks rebuilding the site. I need BOTH subdomains of kristinit.com (www and new) associated with the same project.

Most add ons in the market place expressly allow for a test environment and a live site. Releasing your add ons to rebuild your site on a fresh install should be OK as long as only one site is live!
