Core version 5.7.5.8, Installed version 5.7.5.6?

Hi C5 community,
Updating myC5 sites has always been hit and miss whether I do it manually, through the dashboard, or through Softaculous and Cpanel... I end up having to mess around to get the sites to work. Today was no exception. Regardless, now my environment info shows Core version 5.7.5.8, Installed version 5.7.5.6.
Can someone tell me if this is normal, if it is correct, and if not how I can fix it?
Also, I prefer updating manually as it usually works better than through the dashboard or Softaculous... how do I get rid of all those update folders and just run everything out of the main Concrete folder?

The above tutorial tells you how to upgrade manually, which as of 5.7 is the most preferred method of updating I think.
Off hand I can't remember how to fix the version numbering, someone else should be able to help you.
