Database connection.

Hi, I'm trying to install on my server. It is using CPanel, I also have access to the WHM.
I continue to get 'unable to connect to database' on my screen. I have tried every 'fix' I have found in this forum.

My username and database names both have underscores, I cannot change this. I have seen reports that this is no longer a problem.

I have tried to enable remote access, that has not worked.

I have also check and double checked all permissions are proper.

I have only alpha-numeric characters in all my usernames/passwords.

please help!

Have you used other databases on your site before? Have you checked to see that the URL for the database is correct?

Some servers require you to have a completely different and bizarre host name in order to link up to your database. Others require that you use "localhost" to refer to itself

I have not used other databases on this site before, however the server is labeled as 'localhost' in myPHPadmin

The issue has been resolved. I'm not sure why. I did a re-install and ignored all instructions given on the forums. I simply followed the instructions on the database connection page. Thanks!
