Dutch install

Hi guys,

Please help me out here. I downloaded the Dutch translation form transiflex and renamed it messages.po. Created a nl_NL folder and created a LC_MESSAGES folder in there. Pasted the messages.po file in there and uploaded it to the languages folder on my concrete 5 install.

When go to the languages setting in the dashboard it tells me that I have no other languages installed and that I should run the default languages.

Can some help me out here? I need error messages for my forms in Dutch. The rest doesn't really matter if its Dutch or English.

Thank you!

It sounds to me like you don't have the .mo file. When you download the .po file you have to open it with a program called Poedit. Then you have to go to File > Preferences, click the second tab and check the box 'compile mo-file on save'. Then save the po-file and and the mo-file should appear in the folder next to you po-file. The Dutch language should now appear in Concete.

Be aware that if you change the language for yourself as user, you will have to log out and in again to see the language change, I think your language preference is stored in $_SESSION.
