E-Mail setup Google Apps MX record
Permalink
Hi guys,
I'm hosting my concrete 5 website on a shared hoster (1and1).
Works fine so far. I'm thinking of changing the MX record for my domain to use google apps, though.
I have previously experienced trouble with other CMSs like Typo3 with that.
Root of the problem was the fact that the CMS sent out E-Mails with a sender address (info@exmaple.com) to an identical receiver (info@example.com) Since the new MX server knew it didn't send out the E-mail (since it came from the webserver)it just ignored it. Result: I didn't receive any E-Mails from my CMS anymore.
I just wanted to check first, if that is a potential problem, before I'm fooling around with the MX Records
So here is my question:
- Has anyone run into trouble withc changinge MX records before, when working with Concrete 5 - are there known issues?
Thanks,
- Karl
