Easiest way to change hosts?

I need to move web hosts because I'm currently hosting a C5 website by forwarding a domain to a subdirectory of my personal hosting acc and I'd like to change to a faster host.
What's the easiest way to go about this and preserve the site, customized themes, user accounts, etc. (I'm kind of a "green user" when it comes to this stuff)? Is there a way to create something like an image of my site and transfer it?
