Edit bar and dashboard home page not showing...

Hi,
I've been searching the forum for the answer but it does'nt seem to be there.
I have installed a brand new installation of concrete5 on my server and i have the following problems:
1- When i login, i get redirected to the home page BUT the edit bar is not showing. I get this error from the login post:
Failed to load source for:http://www.spiritofsalima.com/index.php/login/-/do_login/...
2- The home page of the dashboard is blank. No HTML, no errors, nothing. However i can go to a page like /users/search and it works.
Hope those issues are related... Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

i think you may not have uploaded all the files, try re uploading the /concrete directory (overwrite everything)
Ok, i did and actualy, it fixed my first issue... Felt kind of stupid...
So now i am still stuck with the blank dashboard page... I saw a post about a size limit that would prevent it from showing... Did that ever happen to anyone else?
