Edit toolbar - MIA (Missing in Action) :-)
Hi forum
I am wondering if someone can assist me. I tried installing a new theme - 'Clean House' last night. All was good and just the usual need to adjust content around the pages, config things and so on, however, when I go to the Home page the edit toolbar is missing thus not enabling me to edit my home page. All other pages are fine. Website URL: michaeleyrephotography.com.au (note, I may have the previous web theme on there as I have clients wishing to view photos)
I spent quite some time reviewing existing threads in the forum but to no avail. Help!... It may be linked to a Java issue? were as I am not experienced in HTML or CSS or such code.
So, can someone help and provide me insight into what the problem may be and how to fix this. (please provide me step by step instructions or at least where to find the issue to fix it), I don't think it is too serious and would have happened to others I am sure.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
Mike

I've gone through the checklist and tried what I can (within the realms of my limited understanding) and unfortunately, I am in no better position.
I have placed a ticket with developer.
I am very new to this and had a few issues along the way with other themes and generally managed ok, but this has me stumped. I think I need a bit more than tutorials that start going into code, I am not technical in that respect.
The problem being is that this site is for my business and I have limited time to scroll through pages of code trying to understand it all :-(
I have also lost the top toolbar on my landing page when I log in as well!
Oh the joy.

Hi Mike,
Have you tried activating one of the default themes to see if the problem still occurs? If it doesn't go away with other themes then the problem is more likely a conflict from an add-on. I've noticed something similar in other gallery sites when a gallery block is added and saved without any images (or when images are deleted from the File Manager that were assigned to a block). Rolling back to an earlier page version from the dashboard should help in that instance.

Hi Mike,
Its a long shot, but... I just experienced the same on a new site. I found full page caching was active on the pages that weren't showing the edit bar. After turning off (can be done page by page from sitemap) and clearing cache, all worked again.
Hope this helps
