Edit/site bar missing on home page

Hi I have just put my site live and the Edit/site bar is missing from the homepage. It was working fine on the preview space, but now on the live space it isn't showing (basically I just switched the url referencing the IP address, updated the site.php file and refreshed the cache from the dashboard).

The edit/bar shows on every other page.

It is not the page template as I have applied this to other pages and they work fine (i.e. bar shows).

Any ideas???

Thanks
Ben

I've also noticed that the login text at the bottom still says login although i go to another page and it switches to log out, so it's like it doesn't recognize i'm logged in??

disable pretty urls and delete the .htaccess file, and try commenting out both the BASE_URL and DIR_REL lines (put a // before each line)

clear the cache

I'm having the exact same problem.
I tried your suggestions and I'm still not seeing the edit bar on the homepage.

Hi This actually turned out to be a local cache issue for me I think, and it resolved over time. i.e i came in the following day and all was as it should be! Sorry I can't be any more help.

...Nevertheless I am glad you followed up even if there is some mystery.

This happened to me too and because it did not make sense to me I was losing some of my good mood. After you suggested it might have to do with local caches I tried logging in on the homepage from a second browser I had not used all day -- it worked the way it is supposed to.

For me it was a copy of Firefox 4 that would not display the homepage of my concrete5 site as I expected after changing the directory structure of the site's ... home? Home.
