Error 403 - Forbidden

Just uploaded the latest version of Concrete5 to my server at 1&1, modified the permissions on /config and /files to CHMOD 777 (full read/write), and I'm getting "Error 403 - Forbidden" when I access the concrete folder in my browser. Anyone have any suggestions?

i have a site on 1 and 1 thats working fine,

don't put the permissions in /config to 777! most directories use 755
