Error establishing connection to the concrete5 community.
I installed C5 on an internal machine with only internal access to the site. It has internet connectivity.
I registered the site when I logged into the control panel and it shows in my C5 account in Projects.
If I go to 'Sitewide Settings' or 'Add Functionality' it gives me the following error: "Error establishing connection to the concrete5 community. Please check that curl and other required libraries are enabled.".
If I click on the 'Connect to the Community' button I get the following message: "Your site is already connected to the concrete5 marketplace."
If I add add-on to my cart via the concrete5.org web site and then through my control panel visit the 'Add Functionality' all the add-ons I have licensed to the project show for download, and the download and install works great.
If I visit 'More Themes' or 'More Add-Ons' I get the error as well.
Does any one know why I would be getting the error?

Hi Brainakazariua,
I get the message at the top saying "Your site is now connected to the concrete5 community." and another copy of the project appears in my C5 account under Projects, but still I see in my C5 installation:
"Your site is not connected to the concrete5 community.
Error establishing connection to the concrete5 community. Please check that curl and other required libraries are enabled."!
The domain is hosted on a URL that is not publicly accessible from outside the office. Do you know if the concrete5.org is trying to send something to my site, rather than just my site using CURL etc?

That might be the problem. I suggest that for now you leave it be and download any possible add-ons you need manualy from the marketplace.
Try checking again if it works when you're site is open to the public.
ofcourse you can also test this now by opening it up to the outside world, see if it works and then close it again

I thought it would be the C5 web site control panel only contacting the C5 account system, and any return would be collected by something like CURL - so strange if that is the reason.
I will try when it goes public as cannot open up to public even for a short time.
Will just need to add add-ons via the C5 web site before downloading and installing through the my C5 control panel.
Will post back about connection when public.

I would be interested to hear from anyone else who is creating a site (like an intranet) that is not accessible by the public, but whose site has access to the internet - are you having problems establishing a full connection of your site to the C5 community?
you can disable the marketplace stuff, but if you can't download an addon you purchased due to connection problems to concrete5.org you can always just download them and upload to packages directory on your server(wherever it is).
Hi Scott,
Once purchased on the C5.org site, I can then see the add-on for download and install through my web site control panel - so not too bad.
Just one of those things that bugs you as I just see in red the error each time I login!
