failure and restore site

Hi
some help and advice
My server suffered a drive issue and the only way was to get access to the files was to take the drive out and access them via recovery console, so there was no way of pre turning off pretty urls and ssl through loggin in.
Server was a debian server... concrete 5.7.3.2
The issue is, i have ssl enable and pretty urls. so when i try and login, it gives me the wrong site, i have another site on new server with ssl enabled and it flicks over to that.
I have edited my .htaccess file and turned off:
RewriteEngine Off
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=off
i have deleted cache from application/files/cache
but sill it persists in not allowing me to login

My control panel has lets encrypt so i generated a new ssl cert. But for those who dont it would be good to find a solution
