Fatal error after installing theme on home page

I just bought a new theme, and when I install and apply the theme, I get this error after setting the homepage to type "home page":
Fatal error: Call to a member function display() on a non-object in /home/mysite/public_html/mysite.com/packages/theme_corporate/themes/theme_corporate/home.php on line 12
Someone else with the same theme posted to the devs support link on the theme page a few weeks ago and hasn't had a reply yet, so that's why I'm posting here too.

I figured out the solution!
After Step 7, you need to do this:
Go to Themes
Find the Corporate theme
Click Inspect
Notice the "Home" page has a check mark in it
Click OK
THEN, before you do Step 8, skip down to Step 10 and make all those stacks.
Then go back to Step 8 and assign "Home" as the design template for the home page.
Worked for me anyway, so passing it on.
