File Manager Woes

File Manager has been screwy since 5.3.2 and now I am on 5.3.3.1 (via 5.3.3). File manager only displays the first 10 images. The links to move to the next page don't work. I can add images OK.
Rolling over images gives me a bigger image but clicking on an image doesn't do anything.
Permissions on all my files/images are 0770 and I can't seem to change this using my loosefoot hosting control panel.
When I upload an image I can rescan it immediately (whilst in the confirmation dialog). But attempting to rescan an image once it is in the file manager list gives me an error:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in E:\web\public_html\fred\andypatterns5-dir\concrete\tools\files\rescan.php on line 22
You do not have permission to rescan any of the selected files.
I am using firefox.
Search works but displays results in a rudimentary, non styled window.
All my existing files that are in the root of the "files" dir have no thumbnails (well, they all have the same thumbnail - flowers)
Going to a page and editing it and attempting to replace an image results in the filemanager popup, but only three pages are shown to be accessible, though you can't get to the other two. I suspect its only listing the newer files. But the page nav links don't work anyway. The search button doesn't work and there is an animated icon circling next to the word search.
Its all a bit of a disaster really. I've always followed upgrade instructions carefully in the past.

Ok - So I tried that - I hit CTRL-F5 on the File Manager page and now everything works.
Then I went through and rescanned all my images and this brought the thumbnails back. Yey! By rescanning, I mean clicking the checkbox next to each image and selecting "rescan" from the combo box at the top of the file manager page.
Incidentally, now the popup filemanager that appears when entering content and replacing images etc. works fine.
So now I'm getting into the new features e.g. using file sets to organise my files - nice. It all works.
I can't believe it. I'm a concrete5 believer again. :-)

So basically your browser might be caching the old jquery which doesn't mesh per se.
Try that.
