File Manager Fatal Error

Permalink
I just installed c5 and when I go to my file manager I don't see anything except a heading File Manager... here is the entire source of the page:

<h1><span>File Manager</span></h1>
   <div class="ccm-dashboard-inner">
      <table id="ccm-search-form-table" >
         <tr>
            <td valign="top" class="ccm-search-form-advanced-col">
   <div id="ccm-file-search-field-base-elements" style="display: none">
      <span class="ccm-search-option" search-field="size">
      <input id="size_from" type="text" name="size_from" value="" style="width: 30px" class="ccm-input-text" />      to      <input id="size_to" type="text" name="size_to" value="" style="width: 30px" class="ccm-input-text" />      KB
      </span>
      <span class="ccm-search-option"  search-field="type">
      <select class="ccm-input-select" name="type" id="type" ccm-passed-value="" ><option value="1" >Image</option></select>      </span>
      <span class="ccm-search-option"  search-field="extension">
      <select class="ccm-input-select" name="extension" id="extension" ccm-passed-value="" ><option value="gif" >gif</option><option value="ico" >ico</option></select>      </span>
      <span class="ccm-search-option"  search-field="date_added">
      <input id="date_from" type="text" name="date_from" value="" style="width: 86px" class="ccm-input-text" />      to      <input id="date_to" type="text" name="date_to" value="" style="width: 86px" class="ccm-input-text" />      </span>

Any help would be appreciated.

- What version?
- Is this a completely new install? Or an upgrade?

It looks to me like there's some attribute record in your system that doesn't have all of its data. Certain parts of the HTML source that should contain IDs do not. I'm not sure how this would have happened.

v. 5.3.3.1

It was the first time I logged in. It was installed via SimpleScripts, if that matters.

Thanks Andrew!

Not sure if this matters, but it was something I noticed...Usually when I've installed C5, I get the sample site content. This install didn't include any pages or content.

Okay so I've seen a few threads about the file manager not working, but they seem to be connected to Simple Scripts installs.

Since they managed to create problems for us with the last version as well, I wonder if somethings just off with their install.

Can someone with a bluehost web space they havent put stuff in give us access to it so we can test out what simplescripts is doing?

shoot me an email at franz at concrete5.org if that's you. thx

I haven't done anything with it but at least the File Manager page is showing up. The only thing I did differently was not add any custom info to the SimpleScripts installer (Site Name, admin password).

Franz, Sorry I deleted the errant install before reading your post. I'd be happy to give you access if I noticed any other issues.

Thanks.

Culprit is simple script only! I could not identify what happens with simple script but; I tried installing c5 5.3.3.1 with and without simple script in my bluehost account. C5 works perfect if NOT installed through simple script!
Solution is simple! avoid simplescript for installing c5 5.3.3.1 until they correct the issues.
I remember they had made problems with 5.3.2 installation also, they did not unzip and install the empty but required directories at that time. Later on they corrected the issue.

My dear simplescript you are wasting a lot of time from all of us!

Has anyone tried using the upgrade procedure to install the same version?

It seems like replacing the '/concrete' folder (even with the same version) and running the upgrade script would fix any folder or file permission issues.

I used SimpleScripts to install the previous version. Then used it again to install the upgrade. Everything has been working as expected.
