Files preview not appering

I install c5 on Network Solutions. When i upload files the thumbnail does not appear. I try to set the /files directory permissions to 777 and it repaired the already uploaded files. But when i upload a new file i get the same error, thumbnail not previewing.
anyone have an idea of what to do?
