first Install into my dedicated server using Linux 64 bit and also parallels plesk 10 with v 3.0+

these are probably dumb questions,
I am new to concrete5, but wow what a package.
I have started developing a new website on my home computer using the bitnami install for my local computer under windows vista, worked great and easy. Only 3 1/2 weeks and am ready to go live soon with new website.
I now would like to install the bitnami b4 bit linux version into my company's dedicated server so i can launch onto the internet
I am using Linux 64 server on my dedicated server, and i am using parallels plesk 10 V3+ as my control panel. will setup domain accounts through this. latest pache, Latest PHP 5.0+ etc. everything top notch on my server.
A couple of questions:
1) to display any of my websites devel with concrete5 through various browsers onto the internet do I even need to have a copy of concrete5 on my server, or do i just need to create an account and have the dns and access set-up for the domain??
2) if i do need concrete5 on my server, do i need to load a copy of the concrete5 package for each domain/website to make it work on browsers on the internet??? or just one copy on a master website and assign sub-directories or what??? I am quite happy to develop on my home computer and then FTP into my server the finished websites, but i am thinking i will require all the CSS and other program files and everything when I develop or use a template is this not true>??
3) Finally, if I do need to install concrete5 package into each domain on my server before it will work, what files exactly will later need to be FTP up to the server and each website. I took a look and there are many to choose from.
HELP please to navigate this new terrain. All ideas welcome.
Any thoughts
thx much

Thanks Ekko for promoting our product!
However, I should note that if you're doing completely different websites from each other with different user base etc. you would probably be better off just running one centralized concrete5 core and then have own database for each site. This way you can avoid a lot of confusion with the permission structures, shared files, etc.
The multiple domains add-on is basically for cases where you e.g. have a lot of similar sites that YOU are running and you don't need to allow a lot of outside people there.
Now, if you e.g. have like campaign sites or a lot of product sites, etc., then the Multiple Domains is the perfect solution!
The symlinking method is probably better if you have completely different sites with completely different users and completely different files and they don't need to relate to each other in any possible way:

Hi Mainio,
thank you for the insight on your multiple domain method..
i have a fellow going to soon install bitnami stack for linux 64 bit into my
server to get things going. remembering I have parallels Plesk 10 V3
already installed into my apache root for assigning domains and panels
My first question is: can this proposed install continue as normal. Is
there anything in the Bitnami auto install process that might cause me grief
for using mulit-domains in the future. I used Bitnami to install onto my
home computer (windows) and it work fantastic.
Note: I have read some of the extra install requirements for apache on
the provided link, about permissions etc. and would steer my install guy
towards the info first. to be certain all correct permissions are provided
and also what you wrote also in your prior message about set-up.
second: If not the above, then what exactly, would I take the install from
concrete5 site itself???
third: I do understand where Ekkio was going with the idea for the add-on,
but I want to be able to develop and run independent websites for my clients
on my server and not need to install individual concrete5 versions for each.
however a little hazy on the proper linking, I can control all dns pointing
to IP no problem.
thanks for you help and guidance

>> If you also allow your clients to FTP to your server on their account, I think you should just make a "skeleton folder" of a pre-made concrete5 and copy that for each new users and then again make an own database + database user account for each user.
If you don't allow FTP for your clients, I think the symlinking would work quite well (described in the previous link) but you'd still need some automatic scripting to make the database+database user for each of your clients together with the pre-made database.
The database can be totally empty at first, concrete5 can handle the installation 100%. Here's a quick guide on how to install concrete5 straight from command line script:

Hi guys,
thanks for all the help so far, am just getting organized for my buy to install concrete5 for me as multi-user.
now i was on phone with my ded. server guys at hostway
My hostway guys do not know contrete5, but are great on linux and plesk and they say going in by root after cracks the plesk after the install, so better to go via plesk for install. they are really not excited about loading concrete5 into the root of my server.
they are more easy feeling about uploading via Parallels Plesk 10 panel so that there are not conflicts create between what would be permission at root and what is already permission now or could be permission with new concrete5 install.
just wondering if anyone has thoughts on how exactly i should proceed with the simlinkage multi-user installed already suggested and maybe doing it through Plesk 10 for safety.
I wanted to add to this post, but I am going to start a new posting for this just to get some more fresh replies before I start.

The files you need to upload in my opinon would be all, as staying on the safe side is always better than being lean, and empty folders take no space.
