Forum Requirement

I am evaluating whether the Concrete 5 plug-in can meet my clients needs which are below. Can anyone verify for me?

1. The forum will live as a page on the website. However, it will only be visible to those who have registered and signed in after clicking a link on the home page.

2. All users will be forced to register providing their name, email, and password.

3. All registered user details will be be stored in the plug-in back-end.

4. If decided by client, no password will be needed to join the discussion, only name and email.

5. On registration users will have to agree to T&Cs which cover client from any illegal content, defamatory remarks etc. Alternatively a statement stating that the comments shown are not necessarily the views and opinions of the client.

6. Client will need to be able to moderate the forum. This includes the creation of discussion categories and topics, editing and deleting comments and being alerted to postings and their content as they come in.

7. In the future the forum needs to be able to link/post threads to other pages on the website.

8. For existing registered client customers, log-in to the forum will happen automatically when they log-in to their client portal area using their existing log-in details.

Many thanks in advance,

Adam

Which add-on are you referring to? There are four forum add-ons in the marketplace.

Anyways, you will get the best answer by following the 'Pre-Sale Questions' link on the respective add-on pages.

hover the "marketplace" button in the main navigation of this site, click "add-ons" in the search bar write "forum" and hit return, you will see the 4 available forum add-ons go to their respective pages to ask the developer questions about them.
