Are you using the DreamHost One-Click Install feature?

I was, before may 20, when I saw a new version was released, I did a clean install with a new database.
Changed all permissions to 777 (after the first error).
I think the problem is at Dreamhost side but they said I should ask for help here.

Before May 20th, you had concrete5 installed and working?

First range of tries was with one click install.
Second range of tries was after I've read that version 5.6 couldn't be upgraded so I thought was better to make a full install with the last version. I've downloaded the zip file, uploaded at the domain, unzipped it at a directory called c5 and started the install after creating a whole new database.
I've changed version of PHP to 5, to 4, to 3, everytime cleaning the database or creating a new one.
Dreamhost now its saying they will move my databases to same server as the domain to see if that works.
Does this make sense?

When you attempt to install manually, does it ever make it to the installation screen?

I can get the installation screen requiring a language, the one that says that I meet all requirements for the install, the next screen asking for database and other information, and than it starts to install. I can see it can create tables at the database (many in fact), the admin, and I can't remember what else. At some point, showing almost half of the process in the status bar, it gives me one or other error.
I will try a new and clean install now that my databases where moved to the same server and will return my results here.

Finally!
Apparently it was indeed the distance between servers. It works now an I will try to build the website.

What do You mean by distance of servers?

The database and files were in different servers.
Dreamhost moved my databases to same ftp server and apparently this was the solution.
