GD Library not recognized

Hi,

I'm trying to install concrete5, but I get this error: "Concrete requires GD library 2.0.1 or greater" - and the installation page is frozen (I can't enter the details and move on).

So, I've installed the latest GD library: same error. I've installed the previous version: same error. I've searched and installed GD library 2.0.1 -> 2.0.9 and the concrete5 installation still doesn't detect it.

What can I do in this situation? Can I bypass this check?

Thx!

I think I've found the reason for my error. I've tried reinstalling PHP from source, and got a lot of errors when configuring with GD support, because of missing X libraries... Then it hit me: when I've installed my disro (Slackware), I've skipped everything regarding X. I just wanted a website :)
I'll reinstall the distro or move the installation to another host.

Thanks!

And not it's confirmed: after having installed all X packages of my distro, concrete5 installs like a charm!
