Getting a database connection error but my site.php is correct

I have tried installing my concrete5 local site onto my server many times. Every time I have gotten a database connection error but my site.php matches my database information. "A database error occurred while processing this request." I am using just a basic FTP not an SSH. Does this matter? I have reset the server and all sql servers. I am out of troubleshooting options that I know of. Any help would be fantastic!

I've been to so many forum posts and none of them have the answer I need. Thanks anyway.

What kind of setup do you have on your site? Kind of database? Kind of server?

It's just the basic server that is given with a WebHostingHub website. Nothing special. I made a basic database on mysql and imported my sql from my local server onto the phpmyadmin for the database I created. Everything by the book.

If your local DB is on Windows then you can have problems with lower case/upper case table names which are lost after an export/import operation. Not sure if this is the case here but there are ways to fix this problem. Let us know.
