getting my c5 site live

Ok so i made my concrete site on a live server in a test file. Not an issue, i've now finished the site and am looking to replace the old one with the c5 one. i've moved all the contents of the c5 folder in the test file out and into the main public folder and removed all the old site pages and files. The interface for concrete loads in the browser but it cant find a concrete site. I get the message " No page could be found at this address"
I disabled the cache before moving it and cleared it
I disabled the pretty urls
i modified my site.php according to all the other posts on this similar topic
When i move all the files back into the concrete folder and move it back into the test file it all works online.
What am i missing to make this work outside the test file, can anyone help me?

Found the issue almost rite after post :/
Can you share what the fix was in-case any one else has the same issue?
Ah looks like i've been busted it was me being a newbie using the ftp in dreamweaver i modified the site.php file but it kept overwriting it with the old one so the updated one never went to the live server.
