I ran the upgrade and now this:

I get the same issue upgrading from 5.3.3.1.

Anyone got an idea how to fix?

Any chance you are moving from windows to linux with the db? I had an error like that with table names and them being lower versus mixed case.

Login to mysql and type
"show tables"

See if the tables are in "Mixed Case".

I'd love to help you more, but that worked for me. Is it possible a few files didn't upload properly when you replaced the concrete folder?

I ran into that on one site - I would try to reupload the concrete core folder (and make sure you didn't get any errors on the upload) and then re-run the upgrade script.

I tried the upgrade on a second 5.3.3.1 site had the same problem. So I restored and tried again upgrading to 5.4.0.5 before upgrading again to 5.4.1. This time success.

So the workaround seems to be to go to 5.4.0.5 first. Interested to know if kchilds upgrade was from 5.3.3.1?

It IS possible that they need to be done in order...I guess we'll have to wait for her reply to see if that was it...

yes, i think it was a 5.3xx

so, I reinstalled my back up, but now all of my pages and themes will not show. I reloaded everything from the parent folder and all of the interior concrete folders. where exactly are my pages & images stored? I thought it was in the outer concrete folder under "single-pages" and "themes", or is it in "files". Well, no matter tho, they are still not showing up online. What to do??? I thought having my back up would prevent all these problems... starting to despair :-(

Have you restored the database too? All the pages etc. are referenced from there.

I had the same problem.

Scenario: upgrading from 5.4.0.5 to 5.4.1. Tried the /tools/required/upgrade several times, no sucess.

So, I did another 'technique':
1 - Start all over, copy (only) the new 5.4.1/concrete/config/db.xml OVER your 5.0.4.5/concrete/config/db.xml.

2 - Go to your-site/dashboard/settings/set_developer/ and refreshed database schema.

3 - Copy all folders from 5.4.1/concrete to yoursite /concrete

4 - Go to your-site/index.php/tools/required/upgrade

Hmm. We will address this ASAP. Looks like there is an issue going from 5.3.3.1 to 5.4.1 directly.

Not just 5.3.3.1 I was at 5.4.0.5 on one of my domains, originaltool.com I use bluehost.com simplescripts to upgrade. I did one other thing that complicated the issue. I had the domain expire through bluehost domain registration. I transferred the domain registration to fxdomains then pointed back to bluehost name servers and added the domain back as an addon domian. The orignal subfolder was originaltool.com then new one was auto assigned originaltool I did not catch the difference until too late. I downgraded with simplescripts, same error. I copied the folder originaltool.com to originaltool subfolder and got this same error message. I then went back to simplescripts and did the upgrade again. Now I can get the site to come up but themes and pages are gone as if I had done a fresh install.

I backed up the mysql. I am going to restore it and try manual upgrade next.

No luck for me this way. Install over write and manually run of upgrade from 5.4.0.5 to 5.4.1 I end up with no pages other than home and no them. The data appears to be in the database, but somehow, it is not read.

I had the same thing happen to me when I tried to do the Update from within the Dashboard. I did the manual update by uploading the new concrete folder over top of the old one and then going to

and it worked fine. I was also going from a different version (5.4.0.5) but I had 5.3.3.1 before that... Have you tried the manual upgrade yet instead of just through the dashboard?

when trying to upgrade to 5.4.1 from 5.3.3.1 i was not able to do so, receiving the same error as above.
I tried to upgrade to 5.4.0.5 and it worked, then i managed to use the update function built in so i managed to successfully update to 5.4.1.
Everything seems fine but i'm having problems with pretty url which stopped working again :\
