having trouble w/ sign-in

I've just decided to go w/ Concrete5 and I'm having a spot of trouble. For one site, I seem to have mistyped my registration info and I've tried three times to get my password reset and no response has shown up in my email.
The second issue is with the mac_os_x theme I installed. It didn't save the snippet of body text I had placed there and now when I go to the URL that's similar to my other sites it takes me to the site, but I'm not logged in like I am with the others.
The second issue here has been resolved somewhat. The site requires a direct to the login page unlike the others.
I'd really appreciate some help in this.

This means that you'll need to manually reset your admin password (which is hashed) in the database.
Take a look at this:

and follow those instructions, taking particular note of the part about the PASSWORD_SALT from your /config/site.php file.
I'm sorry, but I didn't quite understand your second problem.
