HELP 5.7.2 install hangs on "Supports concrete5 request URLs" during check

I'm hosting on hostgator and this is the first time I've had this issue. During Install of 5.7.4.2, I can select a language and then get stuck on the testing Items. The "Supports concrete5 request URLs" is in an infinite loop. How do I get around this??

A couple of us got C5 working on Hostgator, but had to install it manually, or request assistance from them. I ended up installing C5 on my local MAMP instance, then creating a mirror database and and website install on Hostgator. I used Hostgator's CPanel database, PHPMyAdmin, and file tools. There's nothing saying you couldn't request help from HostGator support as well.
